June Unemployment Figures



The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Labour Force figures have been released for June. 

Employment trend has been consistent over the last six months and has grown by 0.7% in June 2016. Full-time employment was the driving force behind the growth with the participation rate increasing 0.1%. 

As employment steadily grows, part-time growth at its weakest since August 2014. Unemployment has edged up from 5.7% to 5.8% the highest it’s been since February 2016.

7,900 jobs created and is a strong indicator that the Australian economy is strengthening.
